That said, P2P matching in the agricultural context faces a unique challenge that general freight logistics doesn’t: the risk of cross-contamination. For example, a truck that just hauled chemical fertilizer or pesticides on the outbound leg shouldn’t be matched to carry fresh produce on the return leg without going through a proper cleaning process (Wash-out Protocol).
